Adri Swanepoel claims site-safe scholarship
Congratulations to Johnstone Construction Health and Safety Administrator Adri Swanepoel on successfully obtaining a Site-Safe Women in Construction Scholarship for 2021!
The applications were accessed for their leadership skills, commitment to safety, and contribution for safety in the workplace and the industry. Adri excels in each of these areas with her ability to work efficiently and accurately. She is able to mix her unique skill set acquired from a 10-year stint undertaking legal work combined with being a grade 3 educator in South Africa, to ensure the Johnstone Construction team are aware of their Health and Safety obligations.
As a successful applicant, Adri receives training and mentorship through Site Safe as part of their ‘Health and Safety in Construction Programme’.

The acquiring of the scholarship also reflects Johnstone Construction’s commitment to professional development. During the lockdown period, Johnstone Construction implemented online training for all site crew and continued company-wide mentoring.
