KRISSY DANFORD
Business operations Manager

Krissy has  a wealth of Administration experience having worked in a variety of Business Administration and Office Management roles in the private and public sectors. In a testament to her engaging people management skills Krissy continues to keep in contact with former colleagues and employees that she has managed. It was Krissy’s friendliness, professionalism and keen eye for streamlining and introducing efficiencies to administration processes that saw the team at Johnstone Construction snap her up.

Krissy started her career as a Primary School Teacher and holds a Diploma of Teaching, a Diploma of Business, and is continuing her studies in Organisation and Management. She has been involved in both start up and well established businesses, working with them strategically to streamline their processes and providing high level administrative and project support.

Prior to joining Johnstone Construction she had an enjoyable stint at New Zealand Home Loans as Office Manager/EA where she gained valuable insights into structuring loans to be paid off more efficiently. Before that Krissy worked for 10 years with an Australasian jewellery company where she was heavily involved in the phasing out of paper based and manual ordering to electronic online ordering systems, along with changes to their marketing tools, from brochures to interactive websites and social media platforms.

Krissy was impressed with the positive, professional, friendly, team culture at Johnstone Construction and this was the deciding factor in her joining the team. She is enjoying the opportunity to gain insight and understanding of the construction industry, including joining National Women in Construction (NAWIC) and attending their network evenings and joining the Women in Trade’s Committee as Treasurer.

Outside of work Krissy is a keen recreational cyclist thanks to her daughter taking up the sport competitively at school. On fine days Krissy can be seen cycling to work and avoiding the often stationery Auckland rush hour. She also enjoys spending time with her daughters and their energetic family dog that has them regularly checking out the various dog walking parks around Auckland.
